Vigil 1986, Installation in artist's studio at P.S.1, Queens, NY.

Visitors enter room through a narrow corridor. Room is lit by 8 black lights, 4 on floor, 4 on ceiling, creating the corner-points of a 12 foot virtual cube. A 10 ' corrugated Lexan® tetrahedron mounted on wall has a strobe inside that flashes once every 15 seconds. Gilt speaker in the pyramid's tip drones "waiting, waiting, waiting..."

On opposing wall is a rear projected endless video loop of artist's eye looking about the room. A ruby laser traces a slowly oscillating infinity symbol around the eye.

This piece was later installed at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Univ. of Pennsylvania.
